Other Jiu-Jitsu programs invest the majority of the instruction on ground fighting, and while we don’t ignore the reality that you may find yourself in those vulnerable positions, at Bluegrass Martial Arts we emphasize the majority of instruction on how to stay on your feet and unbalance and restrain an attacker. You may find yourself taken down but that should mean something went wrong! We direct most of our training on the skills to keep you standing, mobile, and able to escape.
