All anyone in the martial arts has to say is “Superfoot” and instantly the image of Bill Wallace emerges. This martial arts champion became a superstar in the ring as he mesmerized the audience with his amazing kicks.
Bill “Superfoot” Wallace began his martial arts career in judo, however following an injury to his leg he took up karate. Although he was unable to use his right leg in karate competition, Wallace doubled down on training his left leg.
His lightening fast left leg kick was clocked in excess of 60 mph. A Tae Kwon Do and Shorin-ryu stylist, “Superfoot” was most famous for his awesome high roundhouse and hook kicks.
Wallace captured virtually every major event including the U.S. Championships (3 times), the USKA Grand Nationals (3 times), and the Top Ten Nationals (2 times). Black Belt Magazine twice named Wallace “Competitor of the Year “ and “Man of the Year.”
Wallace retired as the undefeated Professional Karate Association (PKA) Middleweight Champion. That victory marked his 23rd consecutive win, and the end of an illustrious 15-year career in tournament and full contact fighting.
Joe Lewis is an American kickboxer and point karate fighter who was extremely successful in the ring in the 1960s and 1970s. He was voted the greatest fighter in karate history two different times and has earned the titles of “United States Heavyweight Kickboxing Champion” and “World Heavyweight Karate Champion,” and “United States National Black Belt Kata Champion.”
In Okinawa, while serving in the United States Marine Corps, Joe studied Shorin-ryu Karate. He earned his black belt in a mere seven months.
Upon returning to the United States, Joe began his tournament career. Lewis reigned as The U.S. Nationals grand champion from 1966 until 1969. During that time Joe Lewis competed against champions like Chuck Norris.
In 1967 and 1968, he studied Jeet Kune Do privately with Bruce Lee. While training with Lee, Lewis tested Lee’s theories of fighting in the ring, and Lewis was unbeatable.
Joe Lewis was voted the greatest karate fighter of all time by the top fighters and promoters in 1983. Gene Lebell credited Joe as the person who “brought us full-contact karate.”
Two of the greatest iconic fighters have had their methods combined to form the Superfoot-Joe Lewis Martial Arts Systems. This unique system merges the celebrated fighting styles of Bill Wallace and the late Joe Lewis into some of the world’s most effective martial arts techniques.
These skills serve as the foundation of the Superfoot-Joe Lewis Martial Arts Systems program, and part of the content of our Tuesday evening Kenpo Karate class. It includes kicking from karate and taekwondo, punching forms from boxing, exercises to improve strength and flexibility, and workouts to develop greater speed, endurance and mobility.
Kickboxing is the perfect energizing workout. In addition to the physical training, the system incorporates leadership and mentoring, creating an ongoing learning environment designed to produce the next generation of champions.

Our martial arts program covers every component of fitness. You will improve cardio, strength, agility, flexibility and endurance areas of fitness through our classes.
It truly is a ‘total’ body workout!
There is no other workout that is so complete and engagin!
One of the best parts of our program is that every student is treated as an individual, and will progress at their ow rate.
Each student’s progress isn’t measured against other students, but rather against their own previous performance!
So even students that aren’t as physically fit as the star quaterback on the football team, can have a wonderful experience in our program, and become stronger, fitter and more flexible.
The great thing about our program is, everyone is treated as an individual.
We have students as young as 3 or 4 and as old as 94.

We know how busy your life is, so our program is designed for the ‘busy’ person! Students can make exciting progress by attending classes an average of twice a week.
Some students will want to attend more classes, and that’s great, we have options for that!
