We offer a ranking process to becoming a Jedi that includes moving through levels of Padawan, Initiate, Apprentice, then taking the Trials to become a Jedi yourself!

At the Louisville Jedi Academy, you’ll learn the same amazing techniques and tricks used by the movie stunt actors, but in an INJURY-FREE, safe, and super-positive environment!

If you’re like me, you know that the current research says exercise not only helps us look and feel our best, it helps us stay a lot healthier, too.

We all know that we SHOULD exercise, but the problem with most exercise programs is that they are just too boring! Running, or even walking, mile after mile or lifting the same weight 10–20–30 times just gets old fast . . . AND it usually hurts!

Our safe and exciting Jedi Academy  is totally different. Every movement has a purpose–a purpose! Some of our students have actually been able to defend themselves from dangerous attacks, while most are grateful just knowing how to avoid trouble.

Most frequently asked questions and answers

Our martial arts program covers every component of fitness. You will improve cardio, strength, agility, flexibility, and endurance through our classes. There is no other workout that is so complete and engaging.

It truly is a total body workout!

One of the best parts of our program is that every student is treated as an individual and progresses at their own rate.

Each student’s progress isn’t measured against other students, but rather against their own previous performance.

So, even students that aren’t as physically fit as the star quarterback of a football team can have a wonderful experience in our program and become stronger, fitter, and more flexible.

The great thing about our program is that everyone is treated as an individual.

We have students as young as 3 or 4, and as old as 94!

Since every person is different, the best (and really, ONLY) way to see if our program is a good fit for you is to take advantage of one of our WEB SPECIALS and try it for yourself!

Our program is FUNDAMENTALLY different!

In a typical exercise program, you may be getting a good workout, but you’re really not learning much of anything.

Our programs will not only keep you excited and motivated because of our high-energy instruction that always keeps class fresh and interesting, but you’ll also be learning real practical skills that could one day save your life.

Our students find this learning process incredibly engaging and challenges them to truly master their technique. I guess this is the reason our students stick with our program while previous workouts have failed them.

We know how busy your life is, so our program is designed for the busy person. Students can make exciting progress by attending classes an average of twice a week.

Some students will want to attend more classes and that’s great–we have options for that!

I go there almost every week, a good sensei who is great with kids and talks with his students to get them to understand what their doing, he does a variety of different classes like weapons, hand targets and Judo. Overall a good place with a friendly sensei.

I can say nothing but how awesome this place is! I have studied here in two stints before life getting in the way, but I can think of no other karate system that teaches to the level of this place. BMA really has it all no matter what you are looking for, be it casual or serious. Definitely returning if I can!

I’ve known the owner/instructor, Sam, since 2007. Not only is he the best martial arts instructor I’ve personally been involved with, but he is also a great family man with good morals. He eats, sleeps, and breathes martial arts and is a wealth of knowledge. Most importantly, he is humble and never belittles people. If you’re interested in learning real self defense and being part of a family environment, then this is the place.
